MEET THE other you.
Volunteering with Scouts is your chance to step into something bigger without leaving your everyday life behind. Support young people, grow your own skills and be part of the adventure.
UNCOVER NEW
possibilities
You are a parent, a partner, a professional…. but there is more to you than your everyday roles. Volunteering with Scouts Queensland is a chance to meet the other you – to explore your strengths, learn new skills and rediscover a side of yourself you may have forgotten or you have not previously had the opportunity to explore.

BE A ROLE MODEL AND HELP
change lives
Whether you are available week on week or less frequently, there are opportunities to volunteer with Scouts and help change lives.
Drive change
Scouting is about fostering personal growth and this journey is built on an engaging youth program that is tailored to individuals.
Each step in a young person’s journey has new adventures and challenges that are built on the skills and knowledge from the previous section.
The experience is adventurous, fun, challenging and inclusive, with connections to the outdoors, opportunities to learn new skills, building friendships and helping create a better world.

Transform lives
Our teams of adult volunteers have fun supporting young people across our five sections:
Joey Scouts (5 to 8 years)
Cub Scouts (8 to 11 years)
Scouts (11 to 14 years)
Venturer Scouts (14 to 18 years)
Rover Scouts (18 to 25 years)

Make a difference
Being a volunteer in Scouting is a rewarding experience that allows you to make a significant impact on young people’s lives.
You will help them develop skills for life and reach their full potential while having fun and creating lasting memories.

EXPLORE YOUR
pathway
While volunteering provides substantial benefits to our young people and to our communities, importantly it also provides significant benefits to our volunteers and can be great fun!
REAL WORLD
learnings
Personal development and growth in Scouts is not just for young people. We will support you in developing leadership and teamwork skills that translate into study, work and future careers.
You will be required to complete mandatory training in child safety, workplace health and safety and code of conduct and depending on how you volunteer, there will be role specific training provided. However, if you have a specific interest area, there are also training opportunities that can lead to professional VET qualifications.
